The Role of the Wife - Colossians 3:18. God instituted marriage, so only He can define it and only He knows how it best works. Contrary to modern social ideas which have been so negatively effected by feminism, God has a specific role for both the wife and husband that will counter the curse of sin and bring the relationship back into complimentary harmony instead of conflict. Those who have been changed by Jesus Christ can fulfill this role and reap its blessings.

Paul's Desire & Struggle - Colossians 2:1-5. In this sermon Pastor Harris gives further explanation of Paul's goal for his own life and ministry. Paul labored intensely on behalf of people he had never met because of His love for Christ and His followers. That is a mark of maturity that should be developed in every believer. He wanted to encourage them in the truth so they would be able to withstand the false doctrines that were being proclaimed.

Paul: A Servant of the Gospel - Colossians 1:24-29. Though Paul was an apostle, he saw himself as a servant of the gospel and the church in a stewardship entrusted to him by God. Because of that he was able to rejoice even in the midst of suffering. God has revealed the mystery of salvation by faith in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Though the gospel is openly proclaimed, only the saints will respond because the unrighteous refuse to believe it.
