Donations and Contributions

We realize that many of the visitors to this website do not attend Grace Bible Church, and prior to this, had no convenient way to contribute.  We also wanted to make it easier for those who want to donate, to do so.  In addition to the more traditional method of mailing a check, we have added a means of making online donations of any amount either one time or recurring. Before giving, make sure that you take note of the proper biblical admonitions:

2 Corinthians 9:7: So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

If you would be giving under compulsion, or grudgingly, please do not give.  Get your heart right first, and then give as you are moved to.  If you have amassed unsecured debt (not secured debt such as a mortgage or car loan), please do not give; in such cases, it’s not your money to give.  Get your finances straightened out (See the sermons on Financial Stewardship), and then, by all means give as you “purpose in your heart.”  Likewise, since online payment companies also work through credit cards, do not give in a way which will put you into debt.

Matthew 6:1-2: Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.  Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.  But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,  that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

So if you are giving for the purposes of impressing people or influencing the church or Pastor, please do not give.  Get your motives right first, and then once your heart is right, then you may give.

2 Corinthians 8:12: For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

God appreciates a gift, even if it is small.  God will not frown upon a gift that is given properly.  In fact, a small gift may very well be more than a large gift.  As it is written in Mark 12:41-44: Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much.  Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites,  which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”

So if your giving would fit the principles listed above, we would be very appreciative of your gift, large or small, one time or recurring by clicking one of these buttons.

Note to PayPal users: We no longer use PayPal services due to their utter hypocrisy in the culture wars. Their selective punishment of those who disagree with their push of transgenderism demonstrates that their stated strong belief that every person has the right to be treated equally, and with dignity and respect”  is a lie. We believe  that our wives, sisters and daughters should be treated with dignity and respect and should not be forced to share their bathrooms, locker rooms and changing facilities with biologic men. We encourage you to also drop your PayPal account. We have added a different method of online donations.
